Problem For their 7-year anniversary, Zurich-based party label OPAK wanted to release a piece of merchandise that would: reflect their identity within club and street culture feel premium and exclusive go beyond standard event merch The challenge was to create something that resonates with their community while maintaining a strong and recognizable visual language. Solution I designed two custom artworks specifically developed for a limited hoodie release. Main design: A bold calligraphy piece, applied as a large-scale embroidery on the back , acting as the visual centerpiece of the garment Secondary design: A more subtle artwork placed on the sleeve , adding depth and a distinctive finishing touch The entire production process was handled through White Tiger Calligraphy, including: technical development coordination and communication with manufacturers The embroidery was produced locally in Zurich in collaboration with a specialized external partner, ensuring high-quality execution and precision. By commissioning a service or using the website, the client agrees to these Terms. 2. Services White Tiger Calligraphy provides creative services and products, including but not limited to: Calligraphy & calligraffiti artwork Logo and branding design Custom designs (e.g. vehicles, murals, apparel, merchandise) Graphic design and creative concepts Digital and physical products The exact scope of services is defined in the respective offer, quotation, or individual agreement. 3. Formation of Contract A contract is formed through: written confirmation of an order, acceptance of a quotation, or payment of an agreed deposit. 4. Pricing & Payment All prices are stated in CHF unless otherwise agreed. A deposit may be required at the start of a project. This secures production time and covers preparatory work. Final payment is due before delivery of final files or products. In the event of project cancellation, work already completed will be charged proportionally. 5. Copyright & Usage Rights All works created by White Tiger Calligraphy remain the intellectual property of the provider. Copyright ownership remains with White Tiger Calligraphy at all times. Upon full payment, the client receives usage rights within the agreed scope and purpose. Without written permission, the following is not permitted: resale or transfer to third parties usage beyond the agreed scope substantial modification or distortion of the designs White Tiger Calligraphy retains the right to display completed work for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed. 6. Client Responsibilities The client agrees to provide all necessary information, materials, and approvals in a timely manner. The client is responsible for ensuring that supplied content (texts, images, logos, etc.) does not infringe any third-party rights. 7. Revisions & Changes Offers include a defined number of revision rounds. Additional revisions or extra work beyond the agreed scope will be billed accordingly. 8. Deadlines Delivery dates are estimates unless explicitly agreed as binding. Delays caused by missing input or approvals from the client may extend the timeline accordingly. 9. Liability The provider is liable only for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, or loss of profit is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Use of the website is at the user’s own risk. No responsibility is assumed for the content of external links. 10. Website & Content All website content (designs, artwork, images, texts, logos, and creative works) is protected by copyright. Who I Am MODERN CALLIGRAPHY ARTIST My name is Stefan Nicolas Kunz, I am a swiss modern calligraphy artist and the founder of White Tiger – The Modern Calligraphy Studio, established in 2019. The studio was created to represent the art of calligraphy and to showcase its limitless versatility. ORIGIN & STYLE My creative journey began with graffiti at the age of 13. Over time, my focus shifted strongly toward tagging and letterforms, which naturally led me into calligraphy. Problem This project was not driven by a commercial brief, but by the intention to explore new creative territory. The goal was to: challenge the traditional application of calligraphy move beyond static surfaces like canvas or walls experiment with the relationship between body, movement, and typography The challenge was to create a cohesive visual language across different mediums within a controlled studio environment. Solution In September 2019, I collaborated with Yung Eye Studio on an interdisciplinary concept combining photography, bodypainting, and calligraphy. Core idea: Applying handcrafted calligraphy directly onto the human body Execution:calligraphic elements painted onto a female model during a photoshoot additional calligraphy artwork created as a painted background resulting in a unified, immersive visual composition The combination of: bodypainting expressive lettering and controlled studio photography created a futuristic and visually striking environment. In addition to a series of images, the project was extended into an atmospheric short film , further emphasizing movement and flow. Problem For their New Year’s Eve campaign, the 25hours Hotel Langstrasse wanted to create a marketing initiative that would: actively involve their guests stand out within Zurich’s cultural and nightlife scene translate emotion and anticipation into a visual statement The challenge was to transform abstract wishes and ideas into a large-scale, cohesive artwork that fits the hotel’s bold and design-driven identity. Solution In collaboration with the Blackout Collective, I developed and executed a unique concept-driven installation. Concept: Guests were invited to share their personal wishes for the new year → these inputs became the foundation of the artwork Artwork: I transformed these collected aspirations into a 224m² calligraphy composition , meticulously painted on a large-scale banner in the studio Artistic direction:aligned with the hotel’s corporate identity infused with my signature calligraphy style balancing readability with expressive visual flow Additional role:supported the production process by sourcing a banner manufacturer provided guidance and consulting to the marketing team throughout execution Result The banner was installed on the hotel façade on New Year’s Eve Captured in a high-impact drone video produced by Blackout Collective Generated 35,000+ views on Instagram , creating strong digital reach Created a direct emotional connection between guests and the artwork Reinforced the hotel’s identity as a space where art, culture, and experience merge 👉 The project transformed collective human input into a large-scale visual experience with both physical and digital impact.
